A real franchisee

Mom’s Touch franchisee testimonial

We first learned about Mom’s Touch in 2023. After researching the brand, we opened our Metro Mall branch in June 2024. The head-office team handled everything from the interior fit-out to staff training - reliably and quickly - so we were able to open easily and on schedule. The marketing and operations support is constant, so we paid back our initial investment ahead of plan and turned profitable. Recently we expanded our branch into Mom’s Touch & Pizza.

III Frequently Asked

What you should know before signing.

The most common questions we get from prospects, answered up front so you can decide whether to take the next step.

01 How much do I need to invest to open a Mom’s Touch restaurant?

Total investment for a standard 100 m² Mom’s Touch store is approximately $125,000. This covers the franchise fee, kitchen and store equipment, interior buildout, signage, opening inventory, and initial marketing. The figure can vary depending on location, condition of the space, and finish level of the buildout.

02 What’s the initial franchise fee, and what are the ongoing fees?
  • Initial franchise fee - $20,000 - paid once at signing.
  • Royalty - 4.5% of monthly gross sales.
  • Marketing fund - 0.5% of monthly gross sales.

Ongoing fees fund continuous menu R&D, supply-chain improvements, and national brand advertising.

03 How long is training, and who pays for it?

New franchisees and their core management team complete a mandatory 2-week training program before opening. It combines classroom modules (brand standards, operations, financial management) with hands-on kitchen training at an operating Mom’s Touch store in Ulaanbaatar. Training is included in the franchise fee, and refresher programs are offered annually.

04 How long does it take from application to opening?

Typical timeline is 3-4 months. A pre-approved location is required before the franchise agreement can be signed.

  • Application & initial screening.
  • In-person meeting & financial review.
  • Location approval & agreement signing.
  • Buildout, training, and pre-opening.

If you bring a pre-approved location to the table, the timeline can compress significantly.

05 What experience or qualifications do I need?

You do not need prior restaurant experience. We look for:

  • A proven business or management track record.
  • Willingness to operate the business hands-on (owner-operator model).
  • Long-term commitment to the brand and to the community the store serves.

For multi-unit and area-development partnerships, prior multi-location operating experience is required.

06 What support does Mom’s Touch provide after opening?

Ongoing support includes:

  • Supply chain - centralized procurement of chicken, sauces, and packaging at negotiated prices.
  • Operations - dedicated field-consultant visits, KPI reviews, and a mystery-shopping program.
  • Marketing - national campaigns, seasonal menu launches, and ready-to-use creative assets.
  • R&D - continuous menu development drawing from the global 1,500-store network.
  • Training - staff refreshers and new-product training as the menu evolves.

This page is indicative. Final terms are set in the franchise disclosure document provided after initial qualification.
